Service Technician

You will be responsible for creating a positive relationship with customers as you professionally service, install and promote services for commercial and residential customers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Carry out timely installation, maintenance, and service of furnaces, A/C, tankless, hot water¬†heater, fireplace, and ductless appliances.
  • Perform routine diagnostics on operation of existing equipment.
  • Trouble-shoot equipment malfunctions, diagnose problems and perform maintenance on equipment.
  • Correctly instruct customers on proper care and maintenance and make recommendations to replace equipment if expected cost to repair exceeds possible replacement cost.
  • Perform regular cleaning of equipment.
  • Maintain job worksheets detailing nature of assignment, parts utilized, time expended, and type of work performed.
  • Issue invoicing and payment to customer.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Wear company issued uniform.
  • Promote, educate, and communicate effectively to customers regarding various HVAC options, explain the benefits of newer high-efficient equipment to the customer.
  • Maintain company vehicle to neat clean and safe standards including stocking of materials.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all modern equipment and regulations.
  • Other duties as requested.


  • Experienced installer or technician with +5 years HVAC Furnace/AC Service experience
  • Gas Technician ‘2’ (G2) license; 313D Refrigeration License preferred.
  • Strong sheet metal skills.
  • Class G Driver’s License with clean driving record and clear criminal record.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills in current and previous roles specifically around timely completion of work, quality of work and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to progress through all levels of this apprenticeship in a timely manner.
  • Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to understand/learn new technologies.
